You wouldn’t guess it, but the story of JACK Estates began way back in a mother and baby group in Harrow. That’s where Jordan Carss, now a property investor, and Alex Kyselak, now a seasoned property developer, first met. We’ve been mates ever since—through nursery, school, and high school. That long-standing friendship and trust form the foundation of our business today.
When it comes to working with property investors, we’ve found that personal relationships really do matter. Trust, communication, and knowing the people you’re in business with can make a huge difference, especially in an industry where teamwork and reliability are essential.
Two Paths, One Shared Goal
Before we launched JACK Estates, our careers took very different routes.
Alex has been a qualified electrician for nearly 15 years. He started out working on residential property development projects—handling everything from smaller domestic jobs to full house rewires. Over time, he moved into high-end new builds and eventually into the commercial space. That kind of hands-on experience is invaluable. It means we can assess the practical side of a property quickly and spot potential problems—and opportunities—that others might miss.
Jordan, meanwhile, spent his early career in project management, mainly within the NHS. He led large-scale IT projects, where he developed the skills to manage complex budgets, timelines, and teams. Those skills transferred perfectly to the world of property development, where staying organised and keeping projects moving is crucial. (And yes, he’s still very good at chasing things up!)
The Lightbulb Moment
The idea for JACK Estates came about during one of Jordan’s first property ventures—a buy-to-let in Devon. Alex came on board to help out, and over the course of many long drives and even longer conversations, we realised we had something more than just a one-off collaboration.
We shared a clear vision: to build a property investment and development company that combined our skills, values, and ambition. We weren’t interested in cutting corners—we wanted to do things properly, focusing on quality, growth, and long-term partnerships. That was the start of JACK Estates.
